Having qualified in 2008 as a Clinical Pharmacist, Kirby has continued to develop and hone her skills and now specialises in facial aesthetics.

Kirby launched the Skin Life clinic in 2013 and operates from her private practice in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.

As a practitioner Kirby prides herself on offering a very professional approach to facial aesthetics, always using modern, gentle techniques within a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Annie is a registered general nurse (RGN) and holds an Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification as well as an MSc in Advanced Practice. She started her career in Medical Aesthetics is 2003 and now has over 2 decades of experience and a proven track record behind her.  During this time she has published scientific articles, been a faculty member and consulted for two of the leading global aesthetics brands and trained numerous other medical professionals in practical injection techniques.  She has also made regular media appearances.  At Skin and Face Clinics our aim is to help you to enhance your natural good looks, reduce the signs of ageing and improve  your confidence by delivering effective treatments safely. 

Trained in the most advance injection techniques, I use and adapt these to offer bespoke treatments designed to suit you as an individual, and I will spend time listening to you to find out what you feel needs to be done as well as offering my expertise.

You will receive a full explanation of treatment options and outcomes, so you can make an informed choice.

I adhere to a strict code of practice and my overall goal is to provide safe, effective treatments, which achieve subtle changes in your appearance to give you ‘natural-looking’ results.

I will be completely honest with you about the treatments I think you need, based on my medical expertise and advanced training in aesthetics, and this is why most of my client relationships are long-term, and almost all new clients come by personal recommendation.

The clinic is led by Sophie Riddell, a consultant pharmacist prescriber at Vale Skin.

She is a Save face governance board member, founder of the Aesthetic Pharmacists Group UK and was recognised in the House of Lords for her commitment to patient safety in Aesthetic Medicine.
She works tirelessly to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices, ensuring the best possible care for our patients, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and regulation in medicine.
She has a special interest in skin disease, wound healing and skin regeneration. Sophie has trained with some of the top surgeons and specialists in the field of non-surgical aesthetic medicine and continues to gain extensive knowledge in the management of non-surgical complications, facial profile restoration and skin bio-rejuvenation.
