‘Smokers lines’ AKA ‘barcodes’ or vertical peri-oral rhytides, are a sign of ageing, which is often due to the natural aging process and genetics, but are more common amongst smokers and musicians due to regular pursing or reduced skin quality.
There are a few treatment options available, which I discussed in depth with my client here. Together, we chose to treat with Teosyal RHA-1 to gently and subtly fill the lines, creating a smoothing effect making the lines less prominent. Choosing the right product for this area is key to achieve natural results.
My client is thrilled with the results and we even had some happy tears, as this is something that she’s been unhappy with for a long time.
The after photo is immediately after treatment; the mild swelling will resolve over the course of a few days.
